I think PIVX is better [than Zcoin] for Zerocoin implementation. It uses the same libraries, but with Proof-of-Stake. But industrial-strength privacy is still Zcash and Monero.

PIVX is interesting because it is proof of stake, meaning it will be very cheap to always send transactions with the Zerocoin protocol. A great balance of privacy and convenience.

PIVX is a great project. They have a great balance of convenience and privacy. But when we're talking about protecting government targets, mixing when convenient isn't a good idea. Transaction amounts are still visible. Blockchain analysis is possible.
