What is the problem NEM is solving and for whom?
The qualifier to my statement was “useful” products. I don’t know anyone who finds NEM useful, but that’s why I made the list.

Last month the NEM overlords claimed to have developed a system to “tag and freeze” hacked NEM coins. My guess is a block explorer with a blacklist API, not some “Blockchain magic.”
But regardless, I wouldn’t want to be them when the DHS and CIA knock on their door concerning Venezuela.

By flagging/freezing the stolen funds, the NEM Foundation has proven what many of us have suspected for awhile now: NEM is way more centralized than it appears at first glance.
With so much control over the network, the NEM Foundation is now a target for regulators.
