  • Qiao Wang on Tron Engineering at Messari

You heard it here first: There’s no way to programmatically verify TRON’s monetary supply.

Crypto people, instead of bashing people with genuinely good intentions focus your energy on real scams like TRON.

  • Jeff Garzik on Tron Founder and CEO of Bloq

TRON is a fascinating economic and ethical study. Can a photocopy pump be backfilled with real substance?

It's like paper mache art. Inflate a paper-thin balloon, then surround it with hardened substance.

  • Ari Paul on Tron Co-founder and CIO of BlockTower Capital

  • Chris Burniske on Tron Partner at Placeholder Ventures

I find the behavior of Justin Sun and the TRON Foundation appalling and would recommend avoiding the project.

  • Nic Carter on Tron Partner at Castle Island VC and Co-founder of Coinmetrics

The TRX ERC20 coin is a placeholder for a future coin on a new chain. However, until mainnet launches (looks like May 31 is their latest date, undoubtedly to be pushed back), they are just an ERC20 token. Their usage stats are pathetic compared to ETH.

  • Eric Wall on Tron Head of Research at Arcane Crypto

DPoS chains such as Tron make an extreme trust-dependency trade-off compared to other chains to reach higher throughput. Now, despite having made this brutal trade-off, it can't even handle a single dapp (BTT) without spinning up a separate chain.

  • Spencer Noon on Tron Investor at DTC

DeFi requires a censorship resistant foundationβ€”neither Tron nor EOS have this. Only a few platforms today (Ethereum, Tezos etc.) can credibly claim to have one.
